Hey everyone- I am wondering...what are the current requirements for a "class A" health license...or whatever the licence is called the is required for a major airline pilot? I am mostly concerned with the vision requirements, because my uncorrected vision is -3.25 and sure to get worse. I also have asthma. Do you think that, with no other health problems, a person like me could qualify for a class "A" health license? Thanks for your comments and info

It's called an FAA 1st class physical. Don't know about asthma. There is no age limit to go get a first class physical and you have the option of getting a student pilot certificate along with it...not that it's gonna do you any good at your age...but it looks pretty cool with your name and address on it. Cost's about $80, depending on your location.
Go to your phone book and look in the yellow pages under physican and the sub topic of aviation. They could at least answer your question properly.
