I think Qantas Airways will the first airline to order the long range 747-400. They were the first airline to ask Boeing for the 747-400. They want the aircraft to expand beyond the west coast of the U.S and to Europe from Sydney.

I agree with you United777. They have already ordered the 747-400IGW from Boeing and will have them delivered whenever the next three 747s are due down in the Outback. The 747-200ERX will be a great aircraft and my favorite if it is launched.
