Back on August 24, AA issued a press release that they would begin operating out of their new gates in the East Concourse at DAL beginning September 22 and they would be discontinuing the DAL-LAX flights on September 11.

American Will Begin Operating From New Love Field Terminal Facilities On Sept. 22
Additional Love-LaGuardia Flight Starts Oct. 1
Love-Los Angeles Flights Ending Sept. 11

The press release has a nice picture (artist's conception) of the interior and a diagram. However, today, when I checked schedules there are no flights listed to either LGA or ORD from DAL.

Did they use the events of September 11 as an excuse to pull out of DAL for good (now that Legend is history) or is this just temporary?

We all know the only reason AA kept the service from Love after Legend went bankrupt to show the FAA it wasn't being predatory  Yeah sure
They have been looking for an excuse, and they got one. No more silver at Love anymore, probably.

The whole 56 seat limitation at Love is rediculous! Opening LUV up to aircraft of all sizes may increase competition in Dallas.

Go Cubs!

As long as the Wright ammendment is in place no major will really serve DAL. WN has shown them they can't win. Predation is what WN grew up on and they are the masters. Anyone remember BN? A bit simplistic but WN put BN in a bind.

When, not if, the Wright ammendment is lifted you will see AA back into DAL in force.

The day you stop learning is the day you should die.
