Ahem, do you think I'm stupid? This jet is SOLID RED! Ok.. solid bright red, like Virgin Express red. Ok. Sorry that I had to clear that up.

Solid red jet or prop? If its a solid red prop, its Express I 's SF3, should be a very common sight there in MEM.

Express I Airlines has always struck me as a funny name for an airline....

Express Airlines I was originally owned by Phoenix airlines based in Atlanta,GA. There was also Express Airlines 2 for a while plus chicago express.

Express airlines I and Express airlines 2 were combined in I gues 1994/5 and was eventually bought by NWA.

Chicago Express is now owned by ATA.

when did she start seeing it?

Could it be a USAirways Metrojet that has started service to Memphis now that Metrojet is being cut back.

Y'know, it could be an ICC A300F. A small Canadian cargo airline that does some 3rd party flying for Emery etc. They operate 4 A300's. Solid red tail.

Just a possibility.  Smile

Probably Express Airlines I (Northwest Airlink)'s Saab 340's. They are all red...twin engine low wing turboprops.

Say Hi, CV640! (granted you're trucking over to the RJ, but still  Smile )

Well my mother described this as a jet that was "big". Now keep in mind my definition of "big" is a 747 and her's maybe a Dc-9 for all I know but I'm almost positive it's a jet.

It's Elvis bringing back the Braniff 727s!!!!!!!! Seriously, after having lived in Mississippi close to there all I can picture is a NW Airlink Saab 340 or NW jet. What my Mom calls big is an ASA EMB-120 so maybe they think alike? Not alot of big NW jets in MEM!

LOL, MEM is like a NWA DC-9 extravaganza. We do have a DC-10 flight to MSP daily which is like the biggest NWA jet we get! Thanks for your help guys.

Well America West doesn't serve MEM. Hey what about the Portland Trailblazers? They were in town last week to play our new Grizzlies. Do they have an airplane?
