TWA And PAN Am 747 Routes Out Of JFK

As the topic states. I'd like to know what were the 747 routes out of JFK by these airlines. Had these airlines still be in biz today. I highly doubt 747s would be it but rather the more economical 757/767 maybe a A330/A340 or a 777. But anyways what were the 747 routes of these two airlines out of JFK in the 70s and 80s?

Here's what PA's 747 slate out of JFK looked like in January of 1988 (flight numbers, followed by route):

100/101: LAX-JFK-LHR
102/103: JFK-LHR  Crying

72/73: JFK-FRA
66/67: JFK-FRA-RIY-DEL (multiple variations here, including Bombay and Karachi, depending on the day)

17/18: JFK-HNL

81/82: JFK-LAX-HNL
91/92: ZRH-JFK-LAX

84/85: SFO-JFK-MXP

156/157: JFK-MAD

76/77: JFK-MUC

88/89: JFK-FRA-NBO

205/206: JFK-NAS (believe it or not, on every day, except Tuesday and Wednesday)

114/115: SFO-JFK-NCE

201/202: JFK-GIG-EZE-MVD

110/111: JFK-FCO

A small note: these are only the 747 segments of the flight numbers indicated. PA (as with some other airlines at the time) had this system of keeping flight numbers the same on a routing, even when aircraft types changed, so that the passenger would be routed from destination A to destination B on the same "flight". Seems like a pretty useless concept, as it really doesn't encourage people to fly from A to B when they have to change at point C in between. Anyway, this led to a bunch of really bizarre schedule listings, so I just omitted those segments that weren't 747 aircraft.

Here are some first flights by Pan Am and TWA using 747s out of JFK, not all of them were non-stop.

Taipei June 13, 1983

Athens September 15, 1971

In the mid nineties(no exact dates), TWA flew nonstop to the following destinations from JFK, using a 747:

727, L1011, MD80, A300, 777-200, 737-300, 737-700, 747-400, 757-200, 737-800, A320. E190, E135, 767-200, CRJ9

The last time I flew TWA transatlantic, was to London Heathrow in June 1989 on TWA #700, the 7:55pm dep.
out of JFK. This flight was operated with a 747-100 as
was TWA 708, the earlier, 6:15pm flight to Heathrow.

These too were TWA's 747 flights out of JFK:

TW 804 Paris-CDG
TW 800 Paris-CDG
TW 840 Rome/Fiumicino
TW 842 Milan/Malpensa
TW 904 Madrid/Barajas
TW 740 Frankfurt
TW 880 Athens/Hellinikon
TW 884 Tel Aviv/Ben Gurion

TW 900 Lisbon (L1011)
TW 768 Brussels (L1011)
TW 814 Amsterdam (L1011)

Flights to Oslo and Copenhagen were operated with the Boeing 767-200.

There was, for a short while, a TWA flight to Bombay,
but I think it operated via another city, perhaps Cairo
and this was operated with 747-SP and then 747-100.

TWA actually operated a 747 to BOM! I thought it was an L-1011. I know BOM didn't work out along with their trans pac service because it didn't last no more than 6-8 years and it drianed them of much needed cash to strengthen their trans atlantic and their extensive domestic service.

Central America / Carribbean: St. Thomas, St. Croix, Freeport, Barbados, Montego Bay, Kingston, Pointe-A-Pitre and Fort-de-France (only during a very short period in the early 80s) using A300s and 727s; Bermuda using 727s; MEX (A300s, A310s)
