Is the MD-11 back in production? Where did UPS get theirs?

No, the MD-11 is not being produced anymore. 200 were built, that's all. UPS got their first one from either Varig or VASP. I'm not sure which. I have heard that UPS is taking the entire JAL fleet of MD-11s, some 13 ships. All will be converted into freighters. Regards.

They are currently taking the 10 JAL MD-11s, plus another 3 ex-VASP aircraft.

MD-11 48745/596 was sold to "RGL-3 CORPORATION" on 29.09.2000 and then sold to UPS on 14.03.2001. Someone knows what is "RGL-3 CORPORATION" ???

Thanks
Steph
