What a useless exercise!

What criteria would you define as "crazy not to drop?" Political or financial?

And quite a few others, but those two I know are amongst the best they have.

These are no brainers. If they drop these I guess the next step would be to go out of business.

Any airline dropping JFK-LHR and EWR-LHR, as well as JFK-LAX, JFK-SFO, EWR-SFO, EWR-LAX, JFK-SJU, EWR-SJU, EWR-CDG and JFK-CDG. An airline has to be a total jackass or the managment would be on badcrack to drop these routes.

SESGDL, I heard, uncomfired, that DL has suspended ATL-NRT, but only for a short while.

VirginA340, don't forget JFK-FLL/MIA, over 2M passengers a year (and way more when you add LGA, EWR, and PBI to the equation). As for some other airlines, Iberia would obviously be stupid to drop MIA-MAD.

Out of personal convienence I would hate it if AA dropped the winter SFO-EGE flight. I don't like driving to vail from denver, eagle airport is so much more convienent.

IB, AF, KL, LH, BA and JL will be really stupid if they axe their flights to Mexico City.

MAD-MEX route is one of the most profitable for IB

CDG-MEX is quite a profitable route, lots of tourists and business travelers between the two cities, besides AF codeshares AM daily flight

FRA-MEX is great for LH, 90% of the times full even in
F & J

AMS-MEX quite a good route, KL has operated this route for more than 20 years

LHR-MEX, although is 3xweek, the flight is very popular among executives flying to Europe

NRT-YVR-MEX , the YVR-MEX leg is a money maker for JL.

As for the americans
AA, CO, DL, UA, NW and HP all make money with their mexican frequencies, as well as MX and AM.
