They use a 767-300ER on that service. Sad to see it go, my grandparents flew it in 1999.

Money does not bring you happiness. But it's better to cry in your own private limo than on a cold bus stop.

Yeah, the route is no longer profitable for Aeroflot. I guess I'll have to find another way to get to Russia directly...

Ilyushin96M,
there is great way to get to Russia from ORD using LOT.
ORD-WAW - 763ER X2 daily i think
WAW- Moscow X4 daily ( SU and LOT codeshare on this route. 2x LOT 737 and 2x SU but i am not sure what are they using).

They're probably axing it because they don't have the DL employees to help them like they do at JFK.  Big thumbs up

Do they still have the IAD flight? And if yes, is that a profitable route?

In the US, I know SU flies SVO-SEA-SFO and SVO-JFK. I am pretty sure they also fly to LAX and IAD. Obviously, now is not the time, but in the future I really hope they bring back MIA in the future. Miami, which such a large Eastern European population, needs a direct link to Eastern Europe (which we were reportedly going to get with LOT's trans-Atlantic expansion, now on hold).
