OK, so is AA going to receive the new 717's that were ordered by TWA? If so, how many will they plan to receive?

Twinjets...if one fails, work the other one twice as hard!!!

Just 30 out of the original order of 50. AA cancelled the remaining 20. Hopefully, AA will see what a great aircraft the 717 is, and maybe order a few dozen more.
It's an ideal replacement for the Fokker 100 in about 8 to 10 years down the road. Regards.

I agree with FlagshipAZ (my 717 buddy!).

The 717 also makes a good replacement for 722's and early model MD-80's now that air traffic is down 20% or so and with AA still needing to provide frequency for the business traveller.

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.
