which airlines still use the really old fashioned headphones, where you can put your ear to the port and hear it? AA had it on the a300 i was on LHR-EWR (a minor digression i know but i liked that plane/flight!). There was also a slot for the good headphones though, which was what we used.

As United's planes receive the new interiors along with new seats, the pneumatic headphones are being replaced with electronic ones. I flew in an A320 & 757 with the new seats, no pneumatic headphones or ports.

when i flew China Eastern to Shanghai last month on a MD-11....they still had those old headphones...which i haven't use for quite a longggggggggggg time....and i find it quite amusing when the f/a handed me the headphone...cos i didn't expect they would still be using them....

The B737-300 of Ansett MK 1 i recently went on still had that beautiful 1990 velvet interior and the pneumatic headphones, i remember when i was little i used to blow through the two plugs at the end and it would make a whistling noise!!! lol!!
