I heard on another website that CO is not as bad off as they thought they were. They are recalling some of their employees, starting with 110 ramp and counter personnel at CLE.

Also Continental might not need all of the money the government is giving them:

I hope so. I would like to return to work soon. I know there has been talk of recalling employees for the additional security at the gate but that is all I have heard.

Most of the Pax Service agents have been recalled here at IAH.... to provide bodies for the added security checks.

I am not suprised. It takes twice as many agents at the gate to provide for all of the security measures. But watch what happens, my airline friends, when the government takes over the security screening at the checkpoints and at the gates. All of those "recalled" employees will be put back to the street.
