I know this must be a dumb question for a student pilot to be asking. You see how the lights are all over the runway? What's going on there? How do they do that? I can understand lights being on the side of the runway... but in the middle of it??

Thanks,
Hank  Big thumbs up

Your right, that is a stupid question. But the lights are in holes drilled in the runway with heavey glass covers. So they are even with the runway, just set in the concrete. This way they can sustain a plane running over them or not get knoed off by a snow plow.
