Hey guys!
I am much exited since my friend and I are going next month for 6-5 week's trip to
New Zealand.
Since we are non-rev we are easy about choosing the airlines (no money issue )
Do you have any experience on these routs?
BKK-SYD options: BA, QF or TG
SYD-AKL options: NZ or QF
AKL-HKG options: CX or NZ

I guess you dont care about frequent flyer mileage either then ?
BA and GF codeshare on BKK SYD, sometimes on both BA and QF planes. Both by 747400 and service is pretty similar tho i dont know if the QF747 would already have PTVs installed, BA yes.
I would take NZ into auckland and take CX to HKG
Rationale ? euh just to maximize the number of companies flown !
TG has really great service too by the way.
This is a win win situation.

Thank you Parisien for your answer,
I also thought it's a win win situation - all companies on this rout are respectable.
I haven't flown BA in years so I will try to fly them.
BTW, are you franch ?

coolness!
Well I guess most airlines flying into AKL have a good service... but hmm I guess CX would be the better choice here... HKG-AKL... or Singapore Airlines via Singapore... you don't have to stop over in SYD (if you go TG or BA)...

Hi Jimmy!
I must start my trip from bkk and end it at HKG.
I did fly CX'A340 few years ago from YYZ to HKG on y class - it was exelent!!
and CX'744 from BKK to HKG on Biz Class (that was nice like any other airlines Biz class)

Well, for Bangkok to SYD, all airlines would be about the same, really.... Comes down to the frequent traveller program you have, BA & QF for one world, and TG for Star.
Across the Tasman, not much diffrence....
As for AKL to AKL, make sure you choose CX!!!! Much better! Believe me, I fly this route about once every 3 months.... PTVs on a 10 hr flight (for CX), and on a A340, is much better than on a old 767-300 with 10 hours of boredom.

For me, I'd pick the following:
BKK-SYD: BA(your chance of getting a PTV is greater)
SYD-AKL(I think their seats on trans-tasman service is better than QF)
AKL-HKG: CX(the PTV!)
