I noticed that from October 31, 2001, there will be NO UA 744 flying across the Atlantic. All UA Atlantic's flight will operate by 777s.

Anyone noticed this as well?

I think the Chicago-Dusseldorf flight is still a 767 flight.

This is actually a smart move given that winter travel between the USA and Europe tends to have fewer pax, so flying the 777-200ER on these routes makes more sense. This is similar to the practice AF and LH does flying the A340-300 to the USA during the winter months on many transatlantic routes.

I expect by next spring you'll see the 747-400 on UA's transatlantic routes from the US West Coast again.

I think that there was one IAD-LHR flight that was scheduled to be a 744, now a 777. Wasn't UA all 763/777 accross the atlantic last winter too? As mentioned above, much of this is typical schedule change, and a lot is the 9/11 effect. UA is having an especially difficult time, I am curious as the whether they maintain service to smaller european cities like DUS, BRU and ZRH.

UA doesn't serve ZRH.

ORD-NRT is down to 1 daily flight and one ANA codeshare (which used to be a 744 for a bit too!).

I think that was the same last winter (not using 744s over the Atlantic).
As far as I know they weren't using them for Westcoast - Europe flights but ORD or IAD to Europe.

India will be gone from UAL's schedule as of October 30th. It seems that they'lll never comback let alone restarting LHR-DEL. It didn't work out the first time.

Scratch LAX-HKG and HKG-SIN from the 744 line up. Not sure how long those flights are gone for.

Now there are as many as 2 744s per day flying LAX-ORD,DEN and IAD. There are also more 777s flying these routes.
There are also now less flights, but about the same amount of passengers capacity.
