I was at Changi Airport in Singapore yesterday and I saw an MD-11 Swiss Air land....I thoght that they were grounded? Maybe I just didn't read close enough on the artice about Swiss Air but I was under the impression that they weren't flying at all.
Please let me know whats going on, I quite clueless on this.

Swissair is offering some very cheap fares from Asia to Europe but returning before Oct 27 - after which they said they cannot guarantee anything!

I'm very behind on things. Why were they grounded? Was it the entire airline, or just the MD-11's?

Swissair is flying again (70% of its normal schedule.....'till end october). Thanks to the swiss governement (give 500 mio SFR) and all people living in Switzerland as they would have to pay more than 175 $ each (if governement agree on 2 bn SFR package on monday) to see a white cross in the air....

While flying from SLC to LAX yesterday on United... I was listening to Channel 9 and I heard a lot of "Swissair 106 heavy" communications... I also saw the plane when my connection flight LAX-SFO took off...

sad to see them quasi-disappear...

Head in the clouds... yet feet planted firmly on the ground.
