There is one thing I am seriously beginning to question in this forum. It seems as if many posts turning to a hate competition for certain airlines. People will go in their and run-down a certain carrier in favor of another. For instance, just today there is one about how DL how people will run them down for JetBlue. In another everyone is running down AA and the TWA aquistion and paintjobs. I can understand how everyone has their favorite airlines but I do not how as people who are supposed to be ethusiasts for the aviation community aren't in support of all airlines regardless. Where is the hate coming from for certain carriers?

I have often insulted air canada for not having any jet service to YKA and their extremely high fares in places that dont offer comptetion and westjet for coming up with stupid exuses not to add the city to its list of destenations while serving holes twice as small and expending to the east. I was right both times so it wasn't just unfounded b/s. Death to both airlines IMO.

I LOVE Delta, but hate Continental with a PASSION! I don't know why, but I just do.

My hate for Delta stems from a HORRIBLE trip from STR to ATL, and a very unresponsive company. They blew off my complaints by sending my a form letter.

Seriously? I think it has more to do with the attitudes of certain posters. There are some people who, when gloating about, or defending their airline of choice, tend to come across as arrogant at times. Then, when their favored airline gets bad press for something, the rest of us tend to take that bad press and throw it back in their face just to get a rise out of them.

No doubt I have been guilty of this in the past although I've tried to tone it down a bit recently.

Then there are others who like to throw out these outrageous comments for shock value and usually someone will take the bait and pretty soon we're ALL lining up choosing sides. This also applies to the political discussions on the non-aviation threads.

Let's face it, some people just like to argue for the sake of it. It certainly makes the forums more... ahem... "interesting".  Smile JMHO

We are all fans of the aviation industry, and as all fans of anything in the world do, we will pick favorites. This could be based on schedule, fleet, livery, service, the CEO, almost ANYTHING!!! We might also choose to hate airlines for the same reasons, or we might hate an airline simply because our favorite is a competitor of that airline.

I am an odd one by standards, as my favorite airline is jetBlue, yet Delta is another of my favorites. I also like US Airways, and as a result of this any many other things, hate United. I cannot stand Southwest, simply because the way they execute their flights. I am a fan of many underdog carriers...Frontier, Sun Country, ATA, Midwest Express, Canada 3000, Midway  Sad, etc. because they take on the majors, and usually do a dang good job.

Now that I am done rambling, if the above makes sense to ANYBODY, please let me know what you are high on, and where I can get some cheap!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

I am the only person who wouldn't mind flying any airline without bearing a grudge?

I'd only rather fly on a schedualed carrier long haul than a charter.
