Good: Swissair, Lufthansa; Edelweiss is certainly beautiful
Bad: I haven't had a really 'bad' flight. British Airways has certainly pushed the envelope at times...
Ugly: TAP, Iberia (it's time,guys...)

It was in januari this year, and Eurofly flew a Alitalia flight AMS-MXP
The plane was the EI-CMM (MD-83), the stewardesses weren't nice at all. And I didn't get permission to watch in the cockpit... that's why

from the airlines I've flown:
Good: KLM, Korean, Finnair
Medium: Lufthansa, SIA
Bad: BMI, Air France
You'd expect SIA to be in the good section, but I don't like their 'robot-style' flight attendants. They recite their lines in front of you as they were in their schoolbook. brr... I like a more informal approach.

Udo, how often have you flown LH? Maybe you got some bad luck, or other people all got lucky with their aircraft and crew.
I've had some KLM flights that'd make you decide never to fly them again, others that were among the best service I ever had.
The same can be said about most airlines (with exceptions on both ends of the spectrum of course).

Don't forget that in Sergio Leone's masterpiece Clint wasn't that good a guy - only compared to the other ones, but the audience needed to identify and side with one guy in the shoot-out. Perhaps all European airlines are bad or ugly.
