I have applied for an advertised job as an on-call customer service agent @ the local Horizon counter. Anyone know if they do OJT for that or send you to Portland/Seattle. Since it's just an on-call, relief position, I am wondering. Hard telling if I'll even be called for an interview, but if I did get hired and had to go away for training, I'd need to take vacation from my regular job. If this is away training, how long is it?

I don't know, but i applied for a few positions here in portland, and all of them required a startd week training in seattle, I'd say that would be prety likely, if you are hired.

You train in Seattle for about a week to a week and a half. Then you are assigned to either PDX or SEA. You do know that you commute everyday? For Example if you live in Yakima and are relief in SEA you fly to SEA everyday then back to Yakima the same day.

Thanks. This is in Helena, Montana. I live about 30 miles from there. I was called this morning and asked to interview at 08:00 tomorrow. I was so nervous/excited. It's such short notice. But, I could handle going to Seattle for a week or two and get a break from my job!
