I have heard that BOTH VH-ANA and VH-ANB have been returned to Singapore Airlines and are now flying for them.

Can anyone confirm this?

Yes, they are back. SMD's seating plan is listed under the SIA timetable.

United Airline,

ANB is SIA's 9V-SMB.A slight different configuration with 9V-SMD.

Best Regards

That is ANB.
I wonder where SQ will put all this extra capacity other than adding extra flights to AKL and MEL?

United Airline, you said it. Sadly I think Ansett's days are all behind us now. Since they were responsible for firing a very young Cedarjet into the sky for the very first time, I can't tell you how sad it is to know they're now buggered. But buggered they unfortunately are. Farewell to a once (pre Air NZ, those fuckers) great airline.

fly Saha Air 707s daily from Tehran's downtown Mehrabad to Mashhad, Kish Island and Ahwaz

VH-ANA is still sitting at SYD in full AN colors. It is next to 733 and 762. All are in a similar position in that they await collection from lessors (SQ in ANA's case). As no lessor really wants them at this stage due to the downturn in worldwide avaition their departure dates are uncertain.

Cedarjet:

Cheer up! We may still have a chance to see Ansett return to its former glory..... Time will tell. Maybe a rich buyer can save Ansett and build it into a major carrier.....

Tullamarine:

Thanks for the info! What about ANB?

ANB was still in BNE last time I was there a fortnight ago. I assume it's still there but more recent visitors to BNE may know better.

Can't miss em'@!

Cheers,
