Today at the mall I was looking up into the sky when in the parking lot and I saw what looked like a UAL 722 flying into SEA. The weather here is not very good and the plane was flying in and out of the clouds but I did see the blue tail and blue undersides. Its possible it was another airline but I kind of doubt it. In fact the very bottom of the plane was bare metal just like UAL 722s are. Is it possible a few might still be roaming the skies? Possibly as a back up planes?

Yesterday morning 48 of the 727s went out of service in all sorts of destinations. Currently, United is positioning those planes to bring them to cities for retirement. We have the ability to retire planes at almost any line maintence station. For the next few weeks, they will be moved about the skies until they reach their resting place of VCV.

for the second straight day as of 3PM CST. Yesterday it was one out of ORD. If they're not all gone, they're going fast.

My definition of cool ? Not trying so hard to be cool.
