I didn't think that the 345 had been rolled out yet so how can you compare the 2. I havn't seen the 600 yet but it does look a little long in those photos. Those engines do look alot better than say the 343.

I remember when the first prototype was photographed (admittedly in rather unfetching bare factory green and silver), someone at Airliners.net (in a pro Seattle hissy fit) said the A340-600 was so ugly he'd be embarrassed to be seen getting off one. Blimey.

I really like the A330's and A340s when it comes to looks. My all time favourite is the 330-200. The new A340-600 looks so unnaturally long, like the airframe's been stretched to its limit or somthin'... .anyway the 500 is still nice .....By the way... anyone know when Air Canada's taking delivery of the first 340-500/600?

I sure hope so too Oscar2 to see NWA A340-500s or 600s with P&W 4000 series engines! These would be a perfect replacement for NWA's 747-200 Classics and they will have the same cockpit commonality with NWA's A330-300s.
