I seriously want to take a pic of this bird when im in YVR mid decemeber. Any ideas how much longer it will sit there until AC repaints it and puts it back into service?

Not sure if it's the same one, but this afternoon I did see a 737 in the old Canadi>n colours here in YYC that was still in service. Haven't seen that for awhile.

Regards,
Kris

Does anyone know the status of the other remaining (at least until a few weeks ago) 737 in full CP colours, FIN 510? Also, how many aircraft are still in Canadi>n transitional colours?

Did you get the FIN number, or registration? As far as I know only FINs 510 and 540 remained in CP colours (not counting 5T) throughout this past summer.

Are most of the CP 737's in FULL Air Canada colours, or are most still in the transitional livery?

I'm afraid I didn't the fin # or the reg. However I work today so if it comes by again I'll be sure to take note.

Kris

i haven't seen many Canadian 737's lately Sad. It's a real shame. I'm hoping I can get another tour of Calgary Tower next weekend, but who knows with the new security.

I saw a 737 in full CP colours today at 5pm, gate C34 in Vancouver. The one YKA is talking about C-GBPW is now at Air Canada's 'own' hanger (not the inherited CP one).

Most 737-200s are still wearing the transitional CP/AC scheme.

It'll be here for a LONG time to come I think... but if you do decide to shoot it, it's only possible to shoot it between 2-3pm (for a perfectly lit shot such as mine). Keep in mind though, there are now other 732s lying around behind this one, so you might be able to get a "clean" shot...

YKA,

Dude, 50mm will do it, exactly... like I'm saying, it's rare for AC to park aircraft in the 'perfect' 50mm spot... 200mm will be fine for everything else, it's what I use. Bring some KR64 to hammer that one  Laugh out loud
What day are you coming? I'll show you around if I'm free that day, no worries.
