Can anyone post any pictures from A.Net with the Thrust Reversers Deployed. I want to see what Different ones look like.

Write "reverser" in "Keyword" and you'll see many pictures with thrust reversers.

One of Chris Sheldon's best shots!

It clearly shows the petal-type thrust reverser doors common on many Airbuses, not only do you get the reverse thrust from the engine, but the open doors act as speedbrakes.

These are found on the following;
A319/320/321 - CFM engines
A330-2/300 - RR engines
A340-2/300 - CFM engines
A340-5/600 - RR engines
A380 - RR engines

Translating-type thrust reversers

Engine cowl translates backwards, while blocker doors deflect the bypass airflow forward through the grills.

Aircraft using this reverser type include;
A300/310 - PW and GE engines
A320 - IAE engines
A330-2/300 - PW and GE engines
B737-3/4/5/6/7/8/900 - CFM engines
B747-1/2/3/400 - RR, PW and GE engines
B757-2/300 - RR and PW engines
B767-2/3/400 - RR, PW and GE engines
B777-2/300 - RR, PW and GE engines
DC-10 - PW and GE engines
MD-11 - PW and GE engines
L1011 - RR engines
MD-90 - IAE engines
And probably a lot more too... These are the most common type of thrust reversers on large modern airliners, athough Airbus have made some moves towards the petal-type reversers.

Basically "buckest" are moved over the back of the engine to deflect all the thrust forwards. These are found on older designs and are very noisy!

Aircraft using this reverser type include;
B727-1/200 - PW engines
B737-1/200 - PW engines
DC-9 - PW engines
MD-80 - PW engines
F100/70 - RR engines

There are other different types such as those found on the DC-8 and BAC1-11 where grills open up in the top/side of the engine. Illustrated below;

Some minor corrections. The A340-500/600 engines will have translating-type thrust reversers.

What you call bucket reversers and normally refered to as clam shell thrust reversers.

The newer 727-200 engines have cascade thrust reversers.

Also, the type of reversers has to do with the engine itself.
