Hi
Seletar (not Selestar - you might be mixing this up with SIA's A340s, the Celestar!) was never actually Singapore's main airport. It's a small field on the NE coast of the island, mainly military, but also used for SIA's basic training, before students are sent off to Jandakot, near PER.
However, the previous international airport was Paya Lebar, about 5-10 miles N of the current Changi Airport. It closed in 1981 with the opening of Changi, which was an airfield for a long time - having been an RAF base. KLM's Connies also used to use Changi en route to Australia and Batavia (now Jakarta) in the 1940s.

Paya Lebar did retain some small aircraft service after Changi opened. However, since mid 80s, They've moved to Seletar, while the military moved to take over Paya Lebar.
You see regular non-jet service into Seletar nowadays (Except for Bangkok Airways who flies to Changi)

Seletar is now used by the various flying cluns operating in Singapore.
The 1st airport in Singapore was at Kallang which is where the current National Stadium is.From there it moved to Paya Lebar and onwards to Changi.Paya Lebar is now a base for the RSAF and you can normally find some C130s and F-5s there.
The other major airport is RSAF Tengah formally RAF Tengah. Here you can find the RSAFs lone squadron of F-16s.
