What's Going To Happen With This Air Canada 767?

Does anyone know why they pulled this ex. CP 767 out of service? Is it going to another airline or what's going to happen to it? It's last revenue flight was Sept 19, 2001 so it will no longer fly for AC.

Hey - you wouldn't happen to know what the routing for its last revenue flight was, do you? I flew an ex-CP 763 on Sept 19th, from YVR-YYZ... it was looking pretty ratty on the insides... not a reason per se for it being the one being taken out of service, but you never know...

Hey all,

C-GGOH was leased from GECA just over two years ago. It was leased to help during expansion and to help fill in until AC received its four new 763's this year. It was one of three P&W powered 767-3Y0ER's that the company leased.
I would say that it is probably being returned to GECA or going to another carrier. It is less than 10 years old, too young to be retired.
Since we just got our four new 763's, we are going to return some of our leases and get rid of some a/c that are no longer needed.

That's the infamous "Purple Elvis"..............so named because of it's purple velour "J" class seats. It was originally operated in Spain before ending up with AC.

Fin 654 is still shown as part of the fleet in our manuals. Perhaps it is one of the 763's that is currently wet leased to Quantas.

If you look at the pitot tubes they are covered with plastic aswell as other "things" that bird's etc can get into. Here in YWG, C-GPWA showed up last spring and is being stored here, and is currently missing its cowlings and rudder. So i'd say this one is going into storage. Here are some pics when it first came in
