A Shot At Resurrecting The Hobby?

This picture (and many others) were taken at a spot at MSP. Does anyone know where this spot is? Is it in a "sterile" area, or would it be possible for anyone to get it?

This may be a chance for me to salvage my airliner photo hobby.

I would also like to know where this spot is. It would be nice to get information on airports that have views like this which the non-flying public can still see.

Well part of the problem is that many photographers are neurotically secretive about their locations-kind of like how drug dealers are protective of their 'sources'.

I'm not really sure why. Perhaps they have some kind of insecurity complex and somehow think that they can corner the photography market.....

as though I'd want this picture so bad that I'll buy prints from them.  Insane

Assuming no more airline-related terrorist attacks, you'll be able to resume your hobby once things settle.
Here in Europe, we've had tighter security for 30 years, and we're not short of aviation enthusiasts.

The question remains if we will ever be able to take photos beyond the security point without a ticket.

If my memory serves me right, you'll need to pass security to get this shot - it was most likely taken from the food court area. Lots of big windows in there, with good views of the Terminal E (non-NW terminal).
