I am flying on the Delta/AF Cdg-Atl code share (AF44) on Jan 18th 2002. It is scheduled as an MD-11 Big thumbs up(the reason why I booked it!) service, is it likely to still be run by an MD-11 come Jan or is it planned to be down-graded? PLEASE say that it will probably be an MD-11! Also what is the service like on these code-shares?

Thanks in advance  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Well, First of all, I do not have any idea why you call yourself Captain.MD11 when you are 16-20. But if you really wanna know, consult www.oag.com

...why do you call yourself Critter592 at 16-20??

Are you a 16-20 year old DC-9?

Even worse, the name, Critter592 is very offensive, as addressed on other threads.

Critter- I'm curious, do you have anything better to do then criticize someones screen name? Do you even stop to think about what you are posting before you post? Maybe he likes the MD11.. maybe he wants to be a Captain of one when he grows up, or progeressess up in an airline... or better yet, maybe he just likes the name period.

I have to wonder, if this guy had posted a question about your lovely JetBlue, would you have bashed his name?

I'd seriously doubt that it would be downgraded toa 767-300ER....more likely than not it would be upgraded to a 777-200, however anything is likely.

Critter? Whats in a name search through this forum and u'll see loads of them that seem funny but they mean something to someone. I aint entering into any slanging match but hopefully what we all share is a love for aviation and the amount of bust-ups that happen on this form is stupid! So what, I call myself Captain.MD-11 what's it to you? I happen to love the plane!

Thanks Mikeymike etc for your views  Smile/happy/getting dizzy.I asked the question simply because I have booked MD-11 and L10-11 flights in the past and every time they were down-graded to 763's! I aimed this just for a simple yes or no response from somebody in the know at Delta.

By the way ever seen the film Critters?  Big grin

Forgive me for being dense, but why is Critter's name offensive? Please enlighten. THanks.

All I can say is that this is an aviation forum, so lets get back to talking about what we enjoy!

I AM a DL employee, and as of now it's still an M11. ANYTHING is possible here in the world of delta, lol... but it should still remain as M11 service. opperation on codeshare is that same, as long as it's on Delta. the AF is just that it operates in cooperation with AF... the actual flight has nothing to do with it. You must be flying DL21 'cause it's our only M11 service CDG-ATL. Hope htat helped, let me know if ya have any more questions.

Thanks Delta fly boy  Smile/happy/getting dizzy I often check on www.delta.com for timetable changes etc The amount of times I see MD-11's swapped for 777 and vice versa when it actually comes to the day of travel is amazing! (using the flight progress tool) I'll just keep my fingers crossed.Your right I am flying on DL21 (13.50 departure) the other flights out of CDG are on 777's I believe.
