HOUSTON, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- AeroMexico, Mexico's largest airline, has announced plans to start service from Ontario, California to Hermosillo, Mexico on January 20 with five weekly flights. The announcement was made yesterday in Mexico City by AeroMexico Chairman and President Alfonso Pasquel, AeroMexico CEO Arturo Barahona and Los Angeles Mayor James K. Hahn.
Ontario became AeroMexico's twelfth U.S. gateway city in December 2000 when the airline inaugurated weekend service to Guadalajara and Mexico City. The new flights to AeroMexico's Hermosillo hub, which offers convenient connections to Mexico's major business centers and beach resorts, depart Ontario at 2 p.m. and arrive in Hermosillo at 4:35 p.m. Return flights leave Hermosillo at 12:10 p.m., arriving Ontario at 12:50 p.m. The flights will be operated with an AeroMexico MD80.
AeroMexico serves 43 cities in Mexico, more than any other airline, 12 cities in the U.S., Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Ontario, Orlando, Phoenix and San Diego, In Europe: Madrid and Paris.
