Did MAS operate into Gatwick at one time? I remember faintly seeing a MAS aircraft at London-Heathrow back in 1986, or was it Paris-CDG, can't remember properly, but heck, I was only 5 at that time! When MAS first started their services into London, was it Heathrow that they flew to or was it Gatwick they flew too before they changed to Heathrow! Sorry can't help there, but adding more questions on top of your questions!

MAS has always operated into LHR - first utilising the DC10-30 via FRA or AMS and KWI or DXB. The service was upgraded to a 747-236 (ordered by BA but delivered to MAS) in 1981 and CDG was added as a stop.
At one stage, I believe MAS operate some charter services into LGW and STN - was wondering if anyone had more information about this. Was this aircraft on one of those charters?
