Air France has 8 B777-200ERs in service, is taking another two in December, and another in January. At that point AFR will have only one B777 remaining on order, but still has another 8 options, and is tipped to be a B777-300X launch customer.
JAL has 10 B777s in service - 5 -200s and 5 -300s. 5 -200s remain to be delivered.

Last time I checked Air France flew the 777 to Houston, Washington Dulles, New York JFK, Rio de Janeiro, Jakarta, Angola, Vietnam, Sao Paulo, and Singapore. Though Washington Dulles has since been replaced with an A340.

AF also flies the 777 to Shanghai and Seoul. JL only flies the 777s on domestic flights within Japan. The777Man

JAL only flies the 777 on domestic flights? I didn't know that. I thought they would have put them in place of some of their 742s. Is there some special domestic version of the 777 for jal like how they have the domestic 744s, that hold a lot of people but don't fly very far?

Alain, you did forget that AF will fly 777s to LAX four times a week starting 28Mar00. I very much look forward to seeing them here!!!! I'm not sure if JAL have a special version of the 777. I know that they have non-ER versions and that the 77-200 have PW 4084 and PW4090 on the 777-300. It's surprising that they haven't ordered any 777-200ERs to replace 742s. The seating configurations are as follows: C12 Y375 for 777-200 and I'm not sure for the 777-300. The777Man
