Hey All!!

I have noticed many folks determine that a good A/C all depends on what it looks like!!

Why!! I realy dont care what it looks like but how it performs and many other important factors. Not just what it looks like!! Anybody else agree with me or do you disagree with me any comments are welcome.

I think range is one of the most important factors along side comfort.

Grandma sitting in the middle seat in row 22 is the only judge of the likeability of the airplane. Everything else is chaff.

What I am trying to say is that the customer is the only and final opinion that matters. Not the builders, designers, or flyers.

Maintenance crew
The airline

no particular order -- all important

In most cases the customer flying the plane hardly even notices the exteriors of the plane and 7 out of 10 people will never be able to make out the difference between an A300 and a B767 or an A330 and a B777 for that matter. It is only aviation buffs like us who keep note of all the subtle differences and keep in mind the range, economics, engines etc.

Well my mother never even knows what type of plane she is flying in...only the airline.
...and OK yeah they can only differentiate between a 747 and other types.

So i guess the factors that matter are crew behaviour, comfort, ticket price and of course the flight in general. (if it had been a turbulent flight then they would say it was a bad flight). I have noticed many friends of mine judging the pilot & the a/c by the way the landing is performed!

Well personally for me.(not in any particular order)

1. Looks (yeah they sure do count for me  Smile)
2. Interiors.
3. Cabin crew friendliness.
4. width(i prefer wide bodies anyday)

Range, engine capacity does not bother me as i know the plane will be in that route only if it had the required range  Big thumbs up

Well i guess points 2 and 3 are airline dependent rather than aircraft. Personally i would like to be in economy in a 777 with 2-4-2 seating ...that would be great comfort on a great a/c.
