Air Namibia´s first 328JET to be delivered later this year already wears the companies colors. The second one on order is rumoured to be leased out to a swedish company.

Nice to see an airline from southern Africa taking RJs. Are there any other airlines from Africa having orders for RJs or is this the only airline?

I saw the aircraft on the production line in Oberpfaffenhofen. There was a photo in Airliners World IIRC.
Oddly, Air Namibia has just added a CASA CN235 to replace Beech 1900s as well

Other African RJ operators that I can think of:
SA Airlink with a substantial order for ERJ135s.
SA Express with CRJs.
Cameroon Airlines has leased a CRJ.
An airline from Equatorial Guinea has taken two ERJ145s from Luxair.
(probably not complete)

Is Air Namibia owning the CASA-235? I thought another airline operates this aircraft in Air Namibia colors for this airline.

Air Namibia still have a Casa on fleet and operate
a milkrun on the West Coast between Windhoek and
Cape Town with the aircraft.

Cheers!

Now that we are talking of Air Namibia...
If I am not totally wrong I saw a Cessna Caravan with Air Namibia colours this august, heading to the west from Eros. Maybe to Swakopmund? Does anybody know something about this acft and its routings?

Thank you and Prost!

As far as I had seen, the CASA-235 of Air Namibia is still in service on a daily flight from Windhoek Eros airport (ERS) via Lüderitz/Namibia (LUD) and Oranjemund/Namibia (OMD) to cape Town/South Africa.

BTW, does anyone have a photo of this Do328jet? Being a fan of Air Namibia I would really like to see it...

Best regards,

Tom
