Which airline has the worse livery in your opinion?
I think JMC has a terrible combination of colours, Canada 3000 a little boring and some of BA's tails are a lot to be answered for!! Even JAL has some wonderfull paint schemes but their their normal livery is dull (no comments on the username please!)  Big grin

Iberia's livery wouldn't be the most attractive in the world, and I dont really like Aer Lingus's either.

I must admit the JMC livery is pretty bad. I saw the colours on the 757 North American leased last winter at BOS and it looked not to great (compared to the Delta and TWA around it and to my eye...). AWs old one is bad, and FedEx's I think was bad too.

The best livery would have to be Northwest's. Look at how much better the colors look on NWA's 747.

Even though it's night,i've just looked out my office window and been reminded there is someting worse than JMC.Lurking in the dark is a BUZZ B733.What could be worse than yellow, bright green and purple. As for the colours of the cabin lets not go there.

I hate the following current liveries:
Air Canada (boring)
Canada 3000 (messy) and not really current anymore!
Vanguard (stick to one colour)
ATA
Frontier (the worst! ditch the damn wildlife)
Air France (boring)
SAS (blue tail and red engines.....idiots)
JMC (hurts my eyes)
Austrian (messy)
Ryan Air (just ugly)
Olympic (60's retro but not really retro)
RAM (60's style)
EL AL (too much white)
Aeroflot
Air-India (too messy)
Air China (boring)
JAL (plain JAne)

Of course, there are many that I like....but that's for another thread!

Neil

Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.

There are a few liveries that are designed by artistically-clueless people:

WN--their new livery looks just downright horrid.  Nuts Talk about serious color clash!

BD--the new bmi livery has all kinds of weird lines, and just looks too busy for my own good taste.

TUI (Britannia, Hapag Lloyd)--the new livery has a weird color and the tail logo really makes me scratch my head.

How can ANYBODY within 679 miles of sanity possibly claim United Airlines' old (or new) livery is among the worst ever??!! Both are great schemes! Amazing!!

BTW .... There are NO bad paint schemes......because the paint adheres to an airplane. And ALL airplanes are a beautiful sight to behold!

The new bmi livery seems to come in for a lot of praise and criticism at the same time . . .

And I would just like to add my personal opinion, which is rather mixed.

At first glance (especially at shots in good light), I liked it. It has a very fresh shade of blue with the bmi titles in a metallic shade of blue.

One closer inspection, Landor Associates' designers probably drew inspiration from Air Tahiti Nui's superb livery, but went overboard with the curves. Perhaps the designer had one drink too many and had difficulties with straight lines.

I don't like the new SAS colours. Looks like it was painted by lunatics. Don't like Southwest. Looks like the lunatics took a trip to the States.
I do like the old and new United colours. Like C3. I also like the El Al scheme, but, I can't seem to pull up the picture page Climbout posted. Weird.
