Could someone please tell me which are Lufthansa´s destinations in Africa? Do they have plans to enlarge this network now that Sabena is out of business?

LH´s destinations in Africa have been reduced over the last years. They stopped serving as Windhuk and Nairobi.
They do have flights to Johannesburg, Cape Town, Cairo, Addis Abeba, Casablanca, Tripolis, Tunis and Alexandria.
I really can´t think of other destinations right now!
I don´t think they´re going to add more cities to their network because Germany has not the historical colonial links to Africa just like Belgium or France except for Namibia and they even stopped service to that a year ago.

LH does also operate to Lagos and Accra. Or did they also stop flying to these destinations?
They had flight to Abidjan (over LOS), but stopped serving the Côte d'Ivoire shortly after the inaguration.

...and afaik they used to operate to Harare too, but stopped a couple of months ago (early 2001?) due to poor demand (at least I remember reading so in their timetable).

The strange thing is that according to the LH website LH serves ACC as of december 3 times a week and in February I see 4 weekly flights. It seems as if the direct FRA-LOS flight will be gone as of December.
Moreover according to the LH website ALY will be served with only 3 weekly flights as of december.

even though lufthansa claims that they fly to accra on their website, and also the star alliance, i have no evidence on the ground in accra that lufthansa flys here. they are supposed to fly here on wednesday and saturday, but i never hear them on atc, and i never see them at the airport. speaking of lufthansa i heard a flight passing through accra airspace last night. i wonder where its from. Does Lufthansa employ native African employees to work flights in these African capitals or does it fly in its own German people? If it uses Africans do they speak Deutche?
