TWA did have A330s on order, but later They decided they couldnt cope with the financial burden and cancelled them before AA took control, i believe.
But Teh US/UA merger is as good as dead, both companies told employees they are working as individual units now, and that may never change. Im glad AA and TWA have become one, although i was kinda hoping TWA wouldnt lose its fantastic livery...

You are in the industry and you don't know this old information? Might I suggest you get the free subcription to Air Transport World. You are in the industry and you know someone that has it already and can give you the card to fill out. It would take you about 12 seconds in the dispatch office to get this card, 27 to fill it out and 2 to give it to your dispatcher for mailing. Unless.......?
Quit calling an airport ramp "Tarmac" and a taxiway "runway".

....but right now united's got to worry about making sure that united survives, not taking over usairways to help it survive. it's a good thing that united didn't buy usairways and inherit all of it's problems cause who knows what kinda mess the merged airline would've been in right now. and as far as united making a new bid on usairways... if they do, i don't think it'll be for a long time until united will be strong enough to take such a risk.
