After having checked a number of pictures of airlines, I got curious about which would be the oldest livery in the world, meaning which is the airline that keeps it's livery for the longest period of time.
I'v seen Air France livery around for a long time without changing, but it seems that also Alitalia is quite old.
Any ideas about any other airlines with older livery?

This topic was covered in the recent past on this forum. From my own research for my reply as well as the information read in the replies of others, the oldest livery in use today without modification from its original form is...
IMO, it is an enduring classic livery that looks as current today as it did when first introduced in 1969.

Singapore airlines has had their basic design for their colors since they started, just updated some of the colors added a line here or there but their design has stayed the same i think i might be wrong

KLM is not so old. The current cs is just a variation of the old one. In the old one the name KLM on the tail was in dark blue, nowadays it is in light blue. Also, the lightblue at the top nowadays is a bit darker than in the previous livery.

Ethiopian's livery may have been around for a while but it is a classic. They should stick with it because it still looks good after all these years and it reflects Ethiopia's heritage. KLM's as well as Alitalia's have seen some years but again they still look good. Why discard something that works? After all, the name of the game is brand recognition and customer loyalty. Just ask Coca-Cola!

Nfx was correct, It's Ethiopian Airlines. Their current livery dates from at least 1962 when their first Boeing 720B was delivered, and I'm almost certain that it dates back into the 1950s. That's far older than most liveries mentioned above, only American Airlines comes close, and that was late 1960s - after the 727 was introduced but before the 747/DC-10.
I know KLM's livery is a mid-1970s scheme, there are airliners.net photos of B747s in their old livery (white top and tail, multiple blue cheatlines) in the early 1970s.
