I'm a new on in the forum, so I don't know lots about it.
Can anybody please help me find out whether Olympic Airways received its 737-700 and -800?
The first deliverie was supposed to be on the 06/01.
I looked the OA website but there wasn't anything about it.
Cheers.

Hello!

It seems as the only operator of 737NGs in Greece at the moment is Axon Airlines which operates 2 737-700s.

Michael.

Afaik, OA cancelled that 737NG order. My guess is that the 732 will be flying for ~3 more years, then they will buy some more 717s (if still available) and probably more second-hand 734s. Just my guess.

Will the 732 be in use longer than April 2002?
I think after then the airlines won't be allowed to use that aircraft

OA has not recieved them yet. They have completed orders. They were expected long ago in the year 2000. OA has also began phasing out the 732. There are about 3 left.

As far as I know the 737NG order has been cancelled. They have to find a replcemetn for their B737-200 soon because from April 2002 onwards they will be banned in the EU because of not being hush-kitted. What will replace them is currently unclear.
