My mother will be flying from Calgary to Seattle on Dec. 8th and back on Dec. 10th on a Horizon Air F28. Neither her, nor I have ever flown on Horizon or on an F28. Would anybody like to share some comments about this airline, and in particular this airlines F28's?

From what I remember from my BIL - SEA and SEA - BIL flights, on Horizon, all seats including coach are leather. Seating is 2-2 I believe, they are kinda crammed, and noisy if you are in the back. They do not utilize reverse thrust, so don't expect the engines to roar after t/d

I actually flew that exact same rout back in I believe in 94. If I remember correctly, it is 2-3 seating, don't know about leather seating. Flight time is about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Service was not too bad, plane felt kinda slow though, compared to a 737. Kinda felt like a DC-9. Service wasn't too bad. Basic drink and snack service.

Seats are leather, and in a 2x3 configuration (single class). The F-28 is a very noisy jet, although its a little quieter if you sit near the front.
As far as inflight service, expect a light snack with drinks. An afternoon/evening flight would most likely feature a bag of chips and complimentary beer and wine. Morning flights generally offer some kind of muffin or cookie. If you're flying out of SEA in the morning, you should find complimentary Starbucks and Wall St. Journals in the boarding area.
