Hi folks!

I am trying to gather as much information together about Air Atlanta Icelandic as possible. Although AAI is an Icelandic carrier and I live in Iceland, that doesn't help much because most of AAI operations take place somewhere else around the world. Crying

I am mostly interested in information about AAI's current fleet (with previous registrations if available). Information about current customers (long term & short term) would also be appreciated.

And of course, any other info people would like to share
(spottings, flight numbers, rumors, etc.). Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Many thanks
Asgeir

Here is the info I can give you:

It has 16 747s in it's fleet of which 5 are -300s, 10 are -200s and one is a -100.

I know that some of those 747s used to fly for Varig, Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa, Singapore Air, Iberia and Jal.

Here in Israel, El Al israel airlines leased during the summer of 2000 one of its ex-Varig 743, it was wet leased, as most of the other AAI leases are.

According to their website they currently have 20 acft in their fleet - 5 B743, 9 B742, 1 B741, 4 B762ER and 1 L1011. Also has info about their current customers. Website at http://www.atlanta.is also has a link to The Icelandic Aircraft Database, which should enable you to track their previous acft.
