218 flights will be added during Chirstmas Holidays and New Year of Hong Kong, but flight numbers have already decreased around 25%, comparing with the 290 additional flights last year from 21st December to 7th January.Airport authorities explained that due to 911 incident and economic enviroments additional flight applications have an obvious drop.
The 218 flights will be mostly to Mainland China, Japan, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Also other news is that Cathay has launched its new service to Sapporo, heard it was doing very well for the flights till Feburary Lunar New Year, and CX has resumed flights to Colombo yesterday. Also as people mentioned before, Finnair and Ethiopian Air will launch new service next year.
