Hi everybody!

I read that Lufthansa has currently 40+ aircraft parked. What types of aircraft? Where are these aircraft parked?

Here at STR, there is currently only one parked LH aircraft: D-AIQR is parked somewhere in front of the Lufthansa hangar (parking position ~30) for the last four weeks. My brother, who visited SXF last week, told me that he saw five parked 737s/32Xs, but he was not sure about the registrations.

Could we please start a list where everybody lists the LH aircraft parked at his/her local airport? That would be interesting, don't you think?

Very good question , Lufthansa , currently has 40 aircraft as you said parked. They have A340'S A300'S B747 ( Classics ) And a few 737 . They just brought 2 B747-200's out of retirement , and they will be flying FRA-YYZ. I dont understand why they dont use a much more modern , and economical aircraft like the A340. Hope this answers your question!

Thanks for your reply, UAL777Pilot, I also wondered why they bring the 742 back into service - stange! But it does not really answer my question, I rather thought of replies from German spotters who can tell me "Here at FRA there are currently parked D-AIxx D-AIxx and D-ABxx" "Here at HAM..." etc.

BTW, it took me a little time to realize that D-AIQR is *parked* at STR. Since I'm not out on the ramp very often, I just realized D-AIQR from the highway every day I drive to work, and the aircraft has not moved away for the last few weeks.

So, can anybody tell me which particular LH aircraft are currently parked at your local (German?) airport?!

43 aircrafts are grounded or deleted from DLH fleet

D-AIDM (A310) is at Hamburg (HAM) white tail
D-AIPL (A320) has a Kahlifa paint scheme

Looking for other info!

The Airbus A310-300 D-AIDM has not been flying for LH for ages.
It was leased out to Air Afrique as TU-TAZ (if I remember correctly) and has been returned recently. It is now parked at HAM!

I have asked my friend at LH about this. It might take some days, however, to compile the list. Since I won't be in the office tomorrow, I hope to post any results on Monday.

Here in FRA, there had been a lot of LH's Classics
parked@the airbase side ( ~6 of them)
I'm afraid I couldn't get any reg.
During the last days I saw them daily, but today they are vanished, don't know where to.
I doubt they are in service again

Three of them are now parked at the north west end of the Airport. From the RWY18 platform look down the runway!

Ndebele , Im sorry that i didnt answer you question better. But im not aware of what kind of aircraft are parked at FRA , I only see the ones in the gates , and the aircraft stored in the aircraft hangers . Then next flight I will be piloting next week , is ORD-FRA , and then I will be in FRA for 5 days! So I will make an attempt to see what aircraft are parked at FRA. Then maybe I can answer your question more appropriately!

Today I finally got the chance to take a car and make a ramp tour. (It was not easy for me as a check-in agent to find an explanation why I needed that car  Smile/happy/getting dizzy ).

There is definitely NO A342 at STR.

D-AIQR LH A320-200 has been moved into the Lufthansa Technik hangar, the engines covered.

D-ABOM DE B757-300 is parked in front of the Lufthansa Technik hangar (parking position 32), the engines covered.

That's it for STR. An Aero Lloyd A320 on parking position 33 didn't have the engines covered, a colleague told me this aircraft was also parked, but I'm not sure about that.

Any updates from other airports?

I'm surprised that a well educated pilot can't spell hangar!!!
