Lufthansa Layoffs?

No there are at the moment no layoffs.
But they are talking about that.
Right now some workers just work short time but they are discussing if that is enough or layoffs are neccessary!

Not as far as I know. There was a threat to do it about 1-2 weeks ago, but that was meant as a signal to the unions ver.di and vereinigung cockpit to renegotiate wages and working times. Obviously they reached an understanding with the cockpit and the cabin crews, and from what I heard here in Frankfurt, they are on the way with the ground personnel. It is still an official aim of LH management to get over the current crisis without layoffs.

btw: LH top management cut their own wages by 10%. A further 20% was cut by reducing the number of stock options they receive as part of their payment.

I know it's only VfB but I like it!

Just saw it on Reuters: They reached the agreements, which is a very good sign considering the hard-ball mentality of some unionists in Germany.

They wanted to do it but now it looks like they won't be doing it anymore.
