Due to extremely high loads (nearly 600), Lufthansa will be operating TWO flights FRA-PHX tomorrow, 12-8-01. The first flight from FRA will leave as scheduled at 10:00 a.m CET. The second flight from FRA will leave at 10:25a.m CET. Both aircrafts will be A342.

Oh yeah sure......we get no end of programmes here in the UK promoting the Grand Canyon, Niagara, Nevada, New Orleans etc. etc......not quite PHX, but you get the idea.
The USA is without doubt one of the best holiday destinations out there.....bags of choice for the couple, the family, the individual, the piss-poor student (that's me). I spent a great Summer out there, highlight was probably Olympic national park in WA.
Actually, the American Trading council (or similar) is promoting 'America' in ads on UK tv at the moment-included is a scene with United employees proudly standing by the nose of a company 744.

Yes, Germans indeed love to go to the Southwest. Many start tours either there or in Los Angeles.
But it still surprises me. Didn't Lufthansa just curt back flights to like 4 weekly FRA-PHX ??
So why are there so many flying tomorrow ?
Any big business conventions or something going on there maybe ?

lhuaaua- I think your F/A friend confused 2 flight numbers with 2 flights. My CRS shows LH3934 and LH448 flying from FRA-PHX today, 8/12-2001. LH3934 is a code share with UA. There is only one actual flight today FRA-PHX on 342 and it is far from fully booked. Plenty of open seats in all classes.

That's great news!! I can't believe how Sky Harbor Airport has grown so quickly in the past few years! Suddenly BA, LH, AC, AM, etc.
The thing is almost 90% of the time Arizona has CLEAR skies, with very hot weather in the summer and cool weather in the winter, no snow (mid-southern part of the state;PHX-TUS). It's definitely THE southwestern hub of the country in every way!
