Just got back from the airport picking up a relative and he said that his flight was the fastest to Montreal that he has ever taken in like 30 years. It was a 30 minute flight, the pilot said there were some major tail winds.
Anybody have any other tail wind stories?
Oh it was on Air Canada's Tango, scheduled to depart at 10:50. It actually departed at 10 after and arrived are around 11:42....fast

I flew YYZ-YUL in august, we departed about 45 minutes late (8:57 pm instead of 8:10 pm) and we arrived at 9:41 pm instead of 9:14 pm. The flight was exactly 44 min. 21 sec. long (t/o to land) and the cpt. also told us that we had strong tail winds. It was on a DC-9.
That's the shortest flight I've ever had between the two cities.

I once did Winnipeg to Toronto in just over 1 hr 30 mins. We had to wait on the apron because they had no ground personnel ready for us beause of our early arrival. It was something like 120 mph tailwinds.
