I just thought about something interesting. The first powered flight by the wright brothers took place in 1903. The first flight of the 747 took place in 1969. That is a lot of progress to do in only 66 years. Can you imagine the few lucky people who were alive to see both. Just a little bit of info I thought everyone might find something interesting.

Amazing if you think about it. I obviously wasn't around for either of them, but up until the age of 12, the only plane I'd ever flown was the 747. Maybe that had a big influence on why I love aviation so much.
