I just thought about something interesting. The first powered flight by the wright brothers took place in 1903. The first flight of the 747 took place in 1969. That is a lot of progress to do in only 66 years. Can you imagine the few lucky people who were alive to see both. Just a little bit of info I thought everyone might find something interesting.

Alright....OW....ok, back off, I'll respond, geez...stop whipping me! I'll take out the handcuffs, I'm warning you! Ok...whew

Amazing if you think about it. I obviously wasn't around for either of them, but up until the age of 12, the only plane I'd ever flown was the 747. Maybe that had a big influence on why I love aviation so much.

 Big thumbs up

p.s. "Stop hitting me!"..."What?"..."Stop hitting me! I came to file a complaint!"..."Oh! That's next door, this is getting hit on the head lessons."

It's nice to see a SN Jumbo. After all, SN was already founded in 1923.

Anyhow, your topic makes me think, and indeed, aviation has come a long way indeed in a very short time.

within 2 years, we'll be able to celebrate 1 century of aviation. Who wants to join the party?
