I think PPGMD was right, the pilot was turned around smiling, and someone edited the image to add a light aircraft coming right at them.

I don't think that's the one, though it did occur to me at first. weren't there two pilots in the picture with the piper? i'm sure there are lots of shots like this on here...

Yikes,,,,, I thought it was in 'Airliners' magazine....the ad for the subscription,,,where they had a little photo, and I think it was this one.....where they were asking 'who reads Airliners..'..probably an old issue,,,can anybody look it up in an Airliners older issue...?...I'm still checking......I sold most of my older Airliners magazines, so I'm sure one of you guys has one...
