Just heard the news that a Crossair jet with 33 pax ready to take-off was impounded at NCE this evening because of non-payments by Swissair to Air Lib (formerly Air Liberté).

Does anybody have any further details?

Well, that's almost everything, which is knows here so far.

First, they said on TV news, it was a SR aircraft. Now it's sure, that it was a Crossair EMB145.

Stupid action, in my opinion. As if Crossair would pay the credits back for Swissair.

If that's correct, then France is really making a fool of herself.

Pirats were okay on the sea when Asterix was there. But today, in the air, in the 21st century. It's foolish and childish.

Never fly a French plane again.

Justice at last. Finally someone is doing something about it. Swissair has stolen from so many, Air Lib Sabena, TAP, South African, LOT, LTU... A spell has been put on them and we are seeing the results. Make no mistake about it. crossair IS swissair.

Maybe if Sabena or Air Lib or AOM actually made a profit instead of sagging SAirGroup with billions of dollars of debt, they (Swissair/Crossair) wouldn't be in such a position. Sabena would have died years ago without that infusion from the former SAirGroup.

Then again, who's stupid idea was it to acquire the basketcase airlines of Europe like a charity in the first place.  Insane

A330DAT, think about, what you are saying. IF you find this justified, what the French are doing, then every SN creditor could block any DAT aircraft WITH THE SAME RIGHT.

Now, think it over.

And BTW, Crossair is NOT Swissair. Or would you say, that DAT is SN?

You're right gerardo but if justice was really served then Sabena would still be here today and not swisair because there is no excuse for what swissair has done.

Two things:

Swissair will disappear end of March (is that justice?)

Sabena did not disappear ONLY because of Swissair. If that would be the case, then SN would have been a healthy airline already BEFORE Swissair took over 49.5% of SN.

Ok, listen everyone... CROSSAIR IS NOT SWISSAIR and CROSSAIR WONT BE SWISSAIR !
Ok, I'm French but what Air Lib has done is really stupid. AOM and Air Liberté would have died earlier without BA and Swissair.
It makes no sense...

Hey A330DAT, sorry for you but you dont know anything about Crossair...
