TWA's 757s & 767s.

Greetings one & all...
Just a couple of questions regarding TWA's 757s & 767s. Using Bill Harms' website as a guide, I found that TWA has 10 757-2Q8s & 17 757-231s. Yet all are leased aircrafts. My question is, why did TWA ordered the airframes like this? All the 757s were delivered new from the factory.
The "Q8" is the code for IFLC. And on the 767s, TWA had 10 -231s. They also had, from my research, 10 -300 series of various customer codes. Can anyone confirm if TWA had more or less than the 10 767-300s that I found? All replies appreciated.  Wink/being sarcastic Regards.

simple. TWA did not have the cash to buy the aircraft, leasing was their only option.
