Japan Airlines (JAL) is to reinstate its non-stop flights between Las Vegas and Tokyo in March, the carrier said yesterday.
The airline, which suspended its five weekly flights in October, will resume them March 1.
Tokyo-based JAL reduced, then suspended its flights linking McCarran International Airport with Tokyo after demand dropped dramatically after the September 11 terrorist attacks. Airline officials had said flights would be discontinued through January 31.
JAL's flights carried about a quarter of some 511,000 Japanese visitors to Las Vegas in 2000.

I do hope the numbers do go up again and the Japanese travel agents sell LAS.
I work the arriving JL#026 and after 911, the loads were horrible.
The flight was coming in with as few as 24 pax.
Normally prior to 911 the loads were full.
JAL has changed start up times at least 3 times since
suspending service.
