Just saw off the AP...Delta and China Airlines are seeking codeshare rights. DL to codeshare on CI LAX/SFO/NYC-TPE; CI on DL out of LAX & SFO to a handful of major US markets...ie ATL, DFW.
I found this somewhat of a suprise, given the indications that DL was going to restore codeshare service on KE.
Perhaps DL is seeking an alternate Asian partner, in case things go south with KE...?

Dissapointing to say the least. CI's safety record (or lack thereof) is right up there with KE's. Frankly, it doesn't say much of DL to be codesharing with both of these carriers across the Pacific.

AFAIK, no one currently codeshares with either, but the way things are going, look for an announcement by DL shortly announcing codeshare service with both carriers.
